Meeting with Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD), UK
The VMD is an executive agency of the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) of the UK government with responsibility for policy, legislation, authorization and post-authorisation activities, including antimicrobial resistance (AMR), related to veterinary medicinal products (VMPs).
The VMD are currently working with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) in scoping the regulatory landscape in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). As part of this project Noel Joseph, Head of the International Office at the Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) in the UK, visited Nigeria on the 1st of April and met with the Organic Organic Livestock and Crops Owners Association Of Nigeria.
