World Autism Awareness Day 2018
As the World observes Autism Day, we at organic Livestock and Crops will want to wish every one connected with Autism a great day and also to emphasize the importance of proper diet in Autism management.
Although it has taken quite a while for people with Autism to be recognized as special people in their own light, instead of being seen as disabled people we at Organic Livestock know and recognize them as very special people and will be happy to offer support and advice on diets and Management for Autistic Spectrum persons and children.
It should be noted that Dyscalculia and Dyslexia are still not fully recognized in Africa and very little in Nigeria and sometimes there is a mix up between Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)& Asperger Syndrome.
We will want to use this opportunity to advice pregnant Women and those hoping to get pregnant to be very careful with what they eat because certain chemicals in food especially preservatives and additives have been linked to autism. Beware of lead.
We should try as much as possible to eat fresh organic food and vegetables free from additives, fertilizers or any other preservative. Avoid canned food and sweeteners, canned drinks and white bread/Rice. Fish, green vegetables, unprocessed legumes and pulses are great.
Autistic People when managed will move ahead in life and are a Joy to be with but they need support both at home and in school to achieve a better life and independence.
